Laser navigation has developed and produced an ergonomic backpack with a spherical camera or LIDAR to carry out three-dimensional reconstructions of environments or geo-referenced stereo spherical images for the census of housing units or sensitive details for industry and institutions.
The backpack manages in real time the processing of LIDAR images and communicates, through 4G/ LTE, with our laboratories for the post-processing of three-dimensional spherical images. We are ready for its engineering with the next 5G technology.
With a low weight, we have been able to provide an extremely versatile tool for field operators who can also count on an operating autonomy of more than 8 continuous hours. (Battery hot-swap). The backpack automatically interfaces with PDAs and smartphones of the operating teams allowing better management of the routes taken by them and for their management.
The (rigid) backpacks meet criteria of ergonomics and weight that allow operators to easily wear them and support their weight for several hours. They are made of impact-resistant plastic with IP65 protection suitable for outdoor use.

In order to allow the teams to reach the correct shooting localization, the backpack is equipped with a redundant localization system that uses a GPS with RTK and GPS functionality and an additional module to improve the positioning in urban areas (strong shielding, high buildings) that uses the localization on cell base and Wi-Fi networks to increase accuracy.
